February 1, 2011 — We are proud to announce that one of IACC's friends and supporters, a UCF's Iranian professor, Dr. Sasan Fathpour receives one of the most prestigious research awards, National Science Foundation CAREER Award, and made it to the front of UCF's webpage and its following links this week.

Dr. Fathpour earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan, and he has been working in UCF in the last three years. Dr. Fathpour has been also very active in cultural events, among Iranian-American community and leading Saman Ensemble, a local Persian classic music group who performed in IACC's Hafez Night, November of 2010.

On behalf of all IACC's members, we congratulate Dr. Fathpour for such achievement and wish him health and further success.

November 19, 2011 — As of October 17, 2011, the Iranian-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) has changed its name to the Iranian-American Community Center (IACC). The Board of Directors voted to change the name of the organization to reflect its goals more effectively. The Iranian American Community Center will continue to abide by the by-laws that the Iranian American Chamber of Commerce abided by.

Dear Friends and Members:
As you know, one of the IACC's main objectives is to introduce and promote Iranian owned businesses to the community. As part of this effort, we would like to invite those of you who are interested in making a 15 to 30 minutes formal presentation of your business and the services you provide in our monthly sessions. Please communicate your availability to the secretary so that an appropriate time can be scheduled for you.

IACC Foundation is pleased to announce its endeavor to bring financial assistance to students of Iranian descent to attend undergraduate college or university by offering a Student Scholarship program.
